Keeping the population balanced by hunting really only counts for some animals such as deer. If we didn't hunt deer there would be too many and eventually they would starve to death. However, lion hunting is entirely different. There are only about 30,000 lions left which is means they are endangered. If a hunter kills a male lion that is a leader of the pack, the rest of the lions are open for the kill of other animals which leads to more deaths of lions, which brings the number of their population down and can eventually lead to extinction.
Trophy hunters think killing these big, dangerous animals keeps us safe. Many animals don’t even want to go by humans because they are scared. Most animals will only eat humans when the humans are bleeding and weak. There is a fine line between humans and wild animals. Wild animals will not cross humans territory to harm us, if they are hungry they will eat the animals around
