Aristocracy was founded by Plato a Greek philosopher. It means rule of the few best or the ones who have moral superiority. It is also ruling with the interest of the people behind you that support you. This did well in ancient Greece for a period of time. People then saw it fit to move onto a different system. It is still used in many countries today such as the United States, Canada, India, and Italy. The Athenian leader Cleisthenes came up with the idea of “demokratia” which means “rule by the people”. This was the most loved government because all of the people in that area would have say over how it was run. Finally there was a completely fair way to have a government and nobody was put out because of their wealth. This was one of the most affective governments of all time and it worked out greatly for the people of Greece.
Monarchy is ruled by a family in power, known mostly as the royal family. This was practiced in most of the older kingdoms such as the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia. This was affective in some countries if the people in the country liked the king and queen (Kostiner, 2010). This was mostly practiced in Athens and was a small part Greece for a short period of time. In Greece they did not really practice this and it was very shortly mentioned. Non-the less this was still an important part of government and will be remembered in the history
