Introduction I chose Arizona, “The Grand canyon state”. One of the main reasons i chose this state was because you never hear much about Arizona. Arizona is mainly a desert, but that doesn't make it just barren wasteland. Arizona is actually a really nice place despite the scorching weather. I didn’t have a specific thing that i wanted to learn from Arizona. I just want to know more about this state that I see so little of. “Most of the canyon is within the grand canyon national park in Arizona”-(www.stateymbolusa.com) The grand canyon is unmatched throughout the entire world for the vistas it offers to visitors on the rim. The grand canyon attracts about 5 million people a year. The grand canyon took about 6 million years to form. It’s about 277 miles long and it ranges in width from anywhere from 4-18 miles.

The State neckwear
Arizona is the only state with official neck wear. Named in 1973 it is the Bola tie, it also called a string tie. It consists of a cord held in place by an ornamental clasp at the neck. Originally, a bola was a spanish weapon made up of two or three strings with heavy balls at the end. It was whirled and flung at the Enemy.
The State Fish
Arizona’s state fish is the Apache, Also known as the Arizona trout. The Apache was named state fish in 1986. The fish is native to only a small area in East/central Arizona. This fish is found nowhere else in the world,they were on the brink of extinction.But the Trout is now returning to it’s native range.
