Aron Ralston Research Paper
Aron Ralston is the bravest person I know. Aron was an American outdoorsman, who loved canyoneering. In a canyon of Utah, Ralston was hiking all alone, when something deadly happened. An enormous boulder became dislodged and landed right onto Aron's arm. Aron Ralston suffered tremendously, but he was brave enough to get through this tough situation.

In 2003, when Aron Ralston was off hiking in the canyons of Utah, Aron fell down a narrow slot in the canyon. At the time of the fall, an eight-hundred-pound boulder came loose and landed right on Aron;s arm. Aron's arm was now stuck and he was unable to get it loose. For 127 hours, Aron was able to survive on some food, and a little amount of water that was left in his water bottle.

After being stuck under this enormous boulder for 127 hours, Aron knew that his survival required some harsh actions. Aron had no other choice but to amputate his arm, from the elbow below. Aron had a small pocket knife with him that he used to free his arm. He gingerly bandaged up where he had amputated his arm. Aron tied a rope around himself and pulled himself sixty feet up to the top of the canyon, and continued walking. He walked for over four hours when he noticed a helicopter. The helicopter saw Aron, was able to pick him up, provided him with care and brought him to the closest hospital for surgery.
