Richard Russell Riordan Jr. but known as Rick Riordan, is one of The New York Times bestselling American author for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Rick Riordan was born on the 5th of June 1964 in San Antonio ,Texas. He went to Alamo Height’s high school and he also attended a collage university at the University of Texas. Rick Riordan enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin double majoring in English and history and after he graduated in 1986 he chose to become a teacher and was interested in teaching. Rich Riordan was a teacher that taught English and Social Studies at Presidio High School. At an early age Rick Riordan loved and enjoyed writing at an early age. These are six books that Rick Riordan is known for in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of The Labyrinth, and The Last Olympians. Rick Riordan also wrote three books in the Kane Chronicles, and also The Heroes of Olympus series, and also continued the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series. When Rick Riordan was a little child he loved to read the Lord of The Rings books and read them about ten times. Rick Riordan has two sons named Haley and Patrick. Rick Riordan enjoys to read, swim, play guitar, travel, and play video games and are his favorite kinds of things he likes to do. For 15 years Rick taught English, history and Greek mythology at various middle schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and in San Antonio.
