Because arts integration is part of a broad-based revival of interest in whole child learning translating into long-term differences in children's personal, emotional, and cognitive growth.
According to the NAEP test, our high school students had flat score and did not improve a lot academic skills. They can do literal thinking, but not inference, analysis, or critique. They can create simple narratives and informational paragraphs but not extended text or persuasive arguments. We are in great need of doing something which not only just to stop beatings.

Art should be everywhere. And it is totally integrated into our daily lives. The students should enrich life as well as learning. In addition, from a broad research and experience base, a general definition of meaningful arts integration has emerged. Arts integration is the meaningful use of arts processes and content to introduce, develop, or bring closure to lessons in any academic area. The goal is to transform learning by using the arts to actively engage learners in problem solving that creates understanding and expands expressive communication abilities.
How is art integration implemented in different ways?
There are three levels and two models of art integration. First, teacher usually begin at a modest level and teach WITH arts. Second, The goal is to plan lessons that include teaching ABOUT arts content that naturally connects to established units, most often IN science and social studies.
