Our students get so excited about the arts in our school and picking elective classes. I truly feel that the arts is an outlet for ours students in our school. Our art programs are there to help students develop meaningful original works based on their opinions, feelings, and experiences. Our school has great art programs that we offer. Students get a choice of band, choir, guitar, piano, industrial art, art, and culinary art class. The school culture is going to change as we are losing our band teacher of 37 years, who was amazing with students. The creativity that our art teachers get students to express is absolutely amazing. Our school is always packed with community members whenever there is a performing art program. We have great band, choir, piano, guitar concerts, fantastic art shows and walks, wood working displays, and cooking shows. The culture of arts in the school is respected and loved by students, staff and community …show more content…
I would describe myself as outgoing and adventurous. I know what I want to be or think I do. My ideal image for a teacher in my role is someone who is happy and has a contagious personality. I hope to become a teacher who kids want as teacher. By that I mean, I hope I leave an impacting effect on my students and they know how much I loved teaching science and them. I hope to become the teacher who is so damn good at integrating the arts into my classroom. Who never gives up on her students, and who remembers the simple things in why I became a teacher. The type of teacher that I fear becoming is the type of teacher that I have a negative experience with. I absolutely fear of becoming a teacher who has no control over class and is just there to collect a pay check because I am burnt out, yet retirement is years

The school is named after Agnes Campbell Macphail, a Canadian politician who served as the first female Member of Parliament in the Canadian House of Commons. The school, founded in 1981, stood for many of the same things that Macphail did, including her commitment to greatness. Macphail, the MP, made ripples in equality and Canadian politics with her penal reforms , while Macphail the PS is one of several Toronto Gold Eco Schools and strives to give students access to educational technology and a plethora of extracurricular activities. I’ve been told that the school has an extensive amount of clubs for a school its size which yield back to…

On March 7th, 1980, two high school freshman were found smoking in the bathroom at Piscataway High School in Middlesex County, NJ. The students were escorted to the vice principal Mr. Choplick’s office. The defendant, TLO, who was one of the students that were caught smoking denied the accusation. Mr. Choplick inspected TLO’s purse and found a box of cigarettes. Afterward removing the box of cigarettes, he saw a pack of rolling papers. Mr. Choplick suspected that a closer examination of the purse may yield evidence of drug use and that a thorough inspection would be needed. After a thorough search, he found a small amount of marijuana, a pipe, a number of empty plastic bags, a large amount one dollar bills, an index card with a list of who…

Life without art is boring and dull. But often at times, art is a subject that is underestimated in schools. The art courses in many schools are being cut back across the country. Many classrooms now have little supplies, and some courses are being taken away entirely. There are many reasons to which students need the aspect of art education in their curriculum, whether it is because it is an outlet for them to explore their creativity, or to work in a way that is soothing and in a stress- free environment. Art should be a mandatory subject to be taught in elementary and middle school as a child is growing up, but cutting back on art programs in schools seems to be a common solution to budget cuts since the 1970s when budget cuts began. Unfortunately, art classes are the first to be cut from schools, because the arts aren’t taken as seriously as subjects such as math and science because the arts programs are the first to be cut.
