Art Museum Field Trip
I would like to go to an Art Museum for a field trip. I would love it if my class go to go to a real Art Museum. I've always wanted to go to one before. If my class got to go to one the people who want to draw it can inspire some kids to draw.

We could look at cool and interesting pictures and see how old they are and see what year it was painted. We could also look at pottery that was made by the people.I would also like to go is because you can think of whatever you would like and draw it.

The second reason I want to to to the Art Museum is because you can see unique different drawings or paintings. They might have drawn them from the imagination or the world. I like to draw because it is a fascinating to come up with some type of thing

For my visual analysis assignment I chose to go visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It has been an extremely long time since I last visited a museum. I took my twelve year old son with me to explore what the museum had to offer. We found the art to be very interesting, educational and unique. There were so many beautiful pieces throughout the museum that it was difficult trying to decide which one I wanted to base my visual analysis on.…

The reddish strokes in the space above the hat could represent anxiety or uncertainty, which is what his facially expression seems to present to the viewer as well. The grayish paint strokes represented in the negative space outside van Gogh’s image sharply contrasts with the orange, yellow and reddish colors in the facial area and hat, which adds to the overall boldness and vibrancy of the painting. In addition, the space appears to be illusionistic, as the painter depicts an illusion (van Gogh himself) of the three-dimensional spatial world on a two-dimensional…

The trip to the Nelson-Atkins Museum was an insightful and eye opening experience. It was my second trip to a large art museum, the first one being The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Though I am not one you would call an art connoisseur, I do take interest in specific art pieces. I often find myself wondering what the artist was thinking about when painting or constructing a piece of work. I wonder what emotions they might have been going through or if someone unknown inspired them to create such things. Obviously sometimes such information is known but I am not sure I always believe it. I also speculate about the artist’s families, and if any of them were as talented as the artists themselves, as if maybe it was inherited or something.…

For my cultural event I decided to go and visit the Orlando Museum of Art. There were a lot of different types of art on display. My favorite exhibits had to be the ones on American landscape and the Tony Robbin exhibit. Those both really captured my attention. I also saw all of the art that the Aztecs created. It’s crazy how people from such a long time ago can create such wonderful art. There was one really cool exhibit by David Isenhour and instead of actual paintings, it was very unique looking sculptures that actually made you stand there and think about them and what the artist was thinking when he created them.…

This exhibit is something I truly loved because when I was a kid I used to collect rocks that were from mining and love to go this exhibit. I would go to the gift shop and get all kinds of souvenirs from my trip. This exhibit has fossil remains, the beauty of rocks and minerals, geology and critters of a limestone cave. It is so beautiful. There are also depictions and carvings of the layers along steep banks of the James River, and gems in an underground mine. If your child is a rock lover, it is definitely the place to take them…

As a child I used to roam all of Egypt. I loved my great country, there was so much incredible deep, rich history behind it, who wouldn’t want to learn about it. My brothers and I used to run all around the sand dunes, and play hide and seek around the pyramids. I would go to school at the temples and learn all about our great culture and traditions of ancient Egypt, but one thing would always be on my mind and that is art.…

I went to the North Carolina Museum of Art on April 8th, a beautiful and sunny day. Being around the museum conjured a sense of nostalgia to my middle school days when I took a field trip to the museum. Since that last visit I have gained a better understanding about art and what goes into every piece of work. I have also gained more experience, back then I did not know how to shade properly and did not know a thing about composition. Now, I have a greater appreciation for every stroke of a brush and color applied. The reason I chose the North Carolina Museum of Art was solely to re-experience the art with my new artistic eye. While walking through the museum, I searched for that one piece of art that would catch my eye and inspire me to talk…

When I was first told I was to visit the Cummer Museum I thought, "This is going to be boring. How can I write a paper on just art?" However, after my visit, I found there were more things to write about than I had imagined. I come from Washington, D.C. and I'm used to visiting museums but I had never seen one with so many different kinds of artwork. From various oil paintings and ancient sculptures to modern photography and ceramic figures. There was even a beautiful garden to enjoy.…

The exhibit that I viewed at the Philadelphia Museum of Art was one about European Art between the years 1100-1500. This was a series of paintings, sculptures, architecture, and tapestry of the Medieval and Early Renaissance as well as objects from the Middle East. This exhibit was an important part of the history of the Philadelphia Museum of Art because for the first time, Italian, Spanish, and Northern European paintings from the John G. Johnson collection were shown. It gave me a good idea of what the paintings were like in these four centuries and reflected ideas of both the east and the west.…
