Login to the system with an account that has admin rights
1. Type DSPMSG QSYSOPR on the command line
2. Look for a line like one of these two lines:
a. This is an example of a successfully backup.
b. This is an example of a unsuccessfully backup.
3. If the message displayed is like (a) the backup was successful. If it is like (b) then the backup was unsuccessfully
a. You will need to answer the message ( option 5 then C to cancel the job)
b. Go back to the command line and type WRKACTJOB and hit enter.
c. Look for QEZBKTMXXX (XXX for the day) and put a 4 beside it and hit F4. This will open a new screen find the *CNTRLD and change this to *IMMED and hit enter

To Shutdown the AS400 system
From command line type GO POWER to get to the screen below.
To power down the system completely take option 3.
Note: Make sure there are no CD’s or Tapes in the server before you shut the server down.
After the move, the server will not power back on until the light starts flashing green. This could take about 5 minutes after power is restored to the server.
