Ashlee Simpson Analysis
A Notable Lookback at Ashlee Simpson's Discography

And we all have to admit that the first time we laid our eyes on her at the reality TV show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, we know that there's something in here that's worth watching. Aside from the unmistakable resemblance with her pop star singer sister Jessica Simpson, the talent is quite evident and it's just brewing under the angelic-face, feminine facade. Though her career is somewhat on the low-blow as compared to what her sister has achieved over the years, there's no way we would be able to forget how playful and fun Ashlee Simpson's approach to music was. Now aged 30, Ashlee Simpson is not as prolific and visible to the music scene nowadays, but the songs she had left in her wake would definitely be indelible to our 2000s recollection of top hits and influential tracks. We can always reminisce Ashlee as that singer who went over-the-top with her chosen genres of pop, pop punk, pop rock and power pop and have been linked and married to some other music icons such as Pete Wentz and Evan Ross.

"That is so gay.” “You are such a faggot.” These are two phrases we hear fairly often in our everyday lives and do not really question what they are actually saying. Unless you have been living under a rock for the last few decades, you know the words gay and faggot are derogatory terms for people who are homosexual. Yet theses words are accepted as everyday vocabulary in America. Our society has become so immune to these words that we have forgotten what they mean and how they can affect people. In Macklemore’s song "Same Love” and his music video he addresses society's false preconceived notions on homosexuality, the use of hateful slurs in the music industry, and how we as a society need to stop ignoring the sexual equality movement and…

Issa Rae has always been an awkward girl; she’s always worn the wrong pants, kissed the wrong boy, and felt the wrong way, or simply been the wrong girl. The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl is a dazzling collection of essay about growing up learning to love the things in your life that makes it unique, even when those things also make it mighty awkward. She writes about being a black girl who just cannot dance, about being unhappy working in cubicle as her web series was taking off, about not arriving at a personal fashion sense, about honest, insightful, and laugh-out-loud funny and of course arrestingly awkward. One of the best books I ever read was “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl” written by Issa Rae; it is the best because it tackles subjects like the misadventures of the internet, her being black and growing up watching television.…

One of my favorite songs, recently, has been J. Cole’s Love Yourz. This song relate to feelings that we can all relate to, feelings of envy and jealously. We often look at the life styles of those around us, and we see what they have, and we compare ourselves to them. We feel that if we don’t live a certain life style or drive a fancy car that we are not living a purposeful life. We fall into the trap of focusing on others blessings and ignoring our own. From personal experience I have done this. I have looked at the blessing of others, and wondered why my blessings were not the same.…
