Attached: A Literature Review
Attached is a copy of your May Monthly performance notes. Within the review, areas of strength and improvement were discussed. More specifically, during MBDO Cain’s sit-down she was phrased for her ability to mentor, nurture, and transition a newly promoted dual function BDO, Ivan, under her purview. MBDO Cain was able to at times change her teaching style to meet Ivan’s needs. At SNA, MBDO Cain was the only BDO who participated in the BDA OJTC class to apply what lessons she learned during instruction and use it on a subject properly. During our sit-down, this was highlighted as being a teachable moment for all of MBDO Cain’s colleagues, as she set the standard by role modeling what BDA expects of a coach. While this was an important highlight
for MBDO Cain, this was only the beginning. MBDO Cain now can be used as a subject matter expert as the senior BDA OJTC coach. From a teaching standpoint, she will be an invaluable resource.
In addition, our sit-down captured MBDO Cain’s areas of strength, such as oral communication, teamwork, ethics, and her interpersonal skills. While these are areas of strength, an area of concern is MBDO Cain’s inconsistent ability to be decisive in her decision making when presented with information or data. If there was one area I would like for MBDO Cain to continue to address is Core Competency 2 (Decisiveness).
Overall, I have been very pleased with MBDO Cain’s performance since my inception as her rating official. Over the months, MBDO Cain’s performance has gradually improved to a point of consistency.
