I was 3 years old when the 9/11 attacks happened. At the time, I was too young to remember or to understand what was going on. When I became old enough to know what happened, I got scared because I thought that there could be another terrorist attack any day. I think that security should be a little better at checking people at airports considering the hijackers easily snuck weapons past them. All in all, I feel bad for all the families who lost loved ones. 9/11 was a tragic day in…

We should honor the Americans that gave their lives on the day of 9/11.As Americans we should certainly apprehend the perpetrators, but by maintaining a decent respect to the option of mankind, as it says in the American declaration of independence (lievens 2002). As Americans we should cooperate with the international community by working within multilateral institutions, such as the United Nations and but at the same time protect ourselves against future terrorist attacks, destroy ourselves and American society. At the time don’t bring violence to a country that is not presenting any danger to us. Instead help build a world where the conditions that create terrorist no longer exist (Whitney 2003). We need to understand that when most people do harmful things to others, it is often not because they are inherently evil beings, but because they are desperate or because they believe what they’re doing is right. People need to recognize that most people everywhere value roughly the same things. At the broadest level, they want freedom and well beings. The want life, good health, a job at a decent level of living, comfortable housing, happy life, opportunities for their children, personal safety, and…
The September 11th attacks on the World Trade center not only affected New York but also affected the entire country in a way that no other event has. The attacks shook the way of life of many people including those in the classrooms around Nebraska. After the attacks George W. Bush said, “Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts.” It was just that the way of life of citizens was threatened across the nation. The 9/11 attacks affected the country in a number of ways professional baseball did not play their games as well as college and professional football did not play that weekend in the wake of the attacks and even some parents showed up to schools to get their kids out of the classroom for that day and the next. September 11th 2001 was the deadliest attack on United States soil and was an event that will forever be remembered in history.…

September 11, 2001. A day no American will ever forget. It was a day that this nation realized that we as Americans are not invincible. We can be hurt. Planes flew into both the north and south towers of the world trade center. The towers collapsed killing thousands of people. This event has been not only terrifying, but it has also been insightful. In my English IV class, we read multiple articles that were published after 9/11. These articles gave us insight by looking into the historical significance as well as the memories of that terrible day.…
Everyone knows about the attacks that occurred on September 11th, 2001 that scarred our nation. Many people lost family members, friends, and co-workers during these horrific attacks. The terrorist attacks took place in at the World Trade Center in New York City, at the Pentagon building in Washington, D.C., and in a plane crash near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The nation suffered a great loss on September 11th, 2001. After these life-taking terrorist attacks memorials were built for the families, and friends who lost someone on 09/11/01 and for America to remember and honor all those who died that day during the devastating attacks . The 9/11 attacks influenced America greatly, the impact was felt for years after, is still felt today, and for…
September 11, 2001, a date still fresh in the mind of most American citizens. At least to those old enough to remember hearing the news and turning on their television to see the events that occurred in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. Four planes were hijacked by Al Qaeda terrorists and crashed into the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. The nation was shaken. Nearly everyone remembers where they were, who they were with, and what they were doing. September 11th is important because it changed the daily life of every American citizen. Not long after the event, President George W. Bush launched a war on terrorism. Additionally, approaches to national security changed exorbitantly. It is an important event because it has changed the lives of Americans, potentially forever.…
Many major events have happened throughout the United States that have impacted the people and the government. One event has had more impacted on me then the other events. That event is the 9/11 attack on the United States. This event was one of the first major acts of terrorism in the United States killing over 3,000 people. The terrorists hijacked four airplanes and crashed two of them into the World Trade Center towers.…
Shock, disbelief, and devastation were just a few of the emotions that people around the world were experiencing on September 11th, 2001. On what seemed like a normal day in Manhattan, New York, little did everyone know it was the beginning of a huge unthinkable disaster. 8:46 a.m. was when the first highjacked plane had hit Tower One. Not too long after, the second tower was hit. Dozens of fire crews responded as soon as they heard the news. The issues that were recognized in the outcome of this terrorist act were social, psychological, and economical.…
In Benghazi, Libya, September 11, 2012, the United States consulate was attacked by terrorists affiliated with Al-Qaeda. Four brave Americans: Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glenn Doherty, were killed. The entire story of the incident has been very unclear; it seems the Obama Administration desires to cover it up. The American people, especially the families of the fallen, deserve to know the truth of the grievous assault against not only our consulate but also our country. That starts with the three main questions that need to be answered: what happened during the attack, who is responsible, and why is the Obama administration downplaying it.…
September 11, 2001just after 8:45a.mif you turned the television on the images you saw took your breath away. Little did we know that 14 years later that would be one of the aftermath a lot of the servers, first responders and people who were in the area that day would still be feeling. Due to the collapse of the Twin Towers and the fumes from jet fuel burning people are surfing daily from repertory issue. Some of the first responds started becoming ill weeks after this. They began developing repertory problem; Asthma, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Sarcoidosis and Lung cancer are just some of the issues they devolved. Soon people that where in area that day began devolving the same issues. Now these poor people have this will be haunted not just of image they much rather forget but along road of poor health.…
September 9, 2001 is a blood-curdling and mournful day in American history, especially for New Yorkers. September 9th was the day Al-Qeada attacked American civilians by hijacking 4 airplanes. Two of the airplanes crashed into the twin towers, one crashed into the side of the pentagon, and the last one crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. On this dreadful day thousands of Americans lost their lives. My mother and stepfather have completely different experiences during 9/11 however, that day did affect them as a whole.…
Its crazy how a person can live with themselves after killing children and people and even being able to plan this attack for more then half a year. The scene that really impacted me was when the fire fighter said how when he looks at his own child he sees the kid that passed away in his arms, just crazy how it affects everyone not just the people and the families that were in the building. What really amazed me is how they where able to track this suspect down, and how well the different communities helped on making it possible. It took to days to stop this man and all it took was a car without a plate really shows that these people are not as smart as they think they are.Terrorism is everywhere we live in a free country and that makes it hard to detect terrorist, but we should never let our guard down because its here and it will always be here. This act comes to show that terrorist will do what ever it takes to try to get there point across and they do not care who it hurts. I do believe that anyone who commits a mass murder like the one in Oklahoma should be killed right away to set an example that the American population and government will not mess around with this kind action and will do what ever it takes to stop…
