A. Attention Getter: In the words of a popular artist it is time to “drop it like it’s hot”. Many of you might not know who Dave Barry is, and to be honest neither did I. He is an award-winning writer and columnist. He once said, “The four building blocks of the universe are fire, water, gravel and vinyl”.
B. Central Idea: When you own a vinyl; you are collecting a piece of art, an emotion, and most importantly your collecting a piece of yourself.
C. Creditability: Vinyl records have been a huge part of who I am. I remember being a kid sneaking into my brothers’ room, playing his records, and experiencing the world. It was very mind opening, and slightly overwhelming for a small child. The fascination eventually led me to become a slight hoarder when it comes to vinyl records, but with good reason.
