Aurora And Lucior Character Analysis

Readers are introduced to the character of Aurora who Yunior’s girlfriend. Readers did not get that much information about other then her boyfriend is Yunior. I am confused as to why they are together in the first place. They physically and mentally abuse each other. Readers do not get that much background as to what exactly happened during their bad fights. In the beginning of the chapter Yunior said how the scratches on his arm are almost healed. Yunior never explained how he got them or why all we know is that Aurora gave them to him. Also Yunior mentions how he punched Aurora in the chest and he gave her a bad black and blue. Readers get now background as to why he did this or if Aurora had any permanent damage done to her body. I do not
understand how they are together or even why they are together. It does not seem that the two of them have that many happy moments together.

I think Yunior has a serious anger management problem because he is abusive to Yunior but also himself. When he wakes up to having blood on his chin and Yunior disappearing he punches himself so he can “clear his head” he has some deeper problems he definitely needs to work on. In another scene Yunior mentions how he wants to put his first in Aurora’s face. Yunior is going to get himself into deep trouble because of his anger problems. Also his relationship with Aurora is only making his anger problem worse and I believe they should break up for good.
