For whom is the problem a problem?- Well autism affects the child and their parents the most. A child with autism will suffer throughout their life and have difficulty socially and most likely educationally. Their parents will need to pay for treatments and extra tutoring to help them as well as support them for a longer portion of their life. Lastly, it impacts most of society as the government gives disability funds to these individuals to help them out.

How could it be solved?- The whole debate could be solved by having an independent organization do a test to determine a relationship or not. This could be done by have a random sample of one thousand children be chosen to either get vaccinated with MMR or a placebo. Then, the administrators could test to see which children end up getting autism, if any. This test would only be able to draw a correlation and not causation unless the test was repeated in different places with the same results. Hopefully, both sides would view a study like this credible and if not, the debate will never end.
Benefits of the Proposal?- The benefits is that it being an independent study, it will not be impacted by outside forces. Another benefit is that it would reveal the truth and not what either side specifically wants.
Costs associated with the Proposal?- Performing a test of this size would be extremely expensive. Also, the study could make children either become possibly autistic, or make them susceptible to preventable
