in the city. He remember getting a phone call from his girlfriend asking if he was okay. He was caught of guard why she would ask him that question, she told him about the tragedy that had just happened in New York City. He remember feeling scared and thankful that he was not caught in between what was going on. He later on reached out to his friends who worked in the city to make sure they were safe. The last person I asked stated that she was home watching the news when the emergency alert system activated redirecting all channels to what was going on in the city. She remember being in disbelieved and terrified of what could happen next. Weeks later she attended to a candle light in memory of all the innocent lifes.
I remember hearing of the event while I was living in Dominican Republic, but when I actually came to the United States in 2002 I was actually able to feel the pain from the people in the city.
