Sample Autpbiography of Raymart Paraiso a college Student

My beginning as a legally recognized individual occurred on October 9, 1991 in Cebu City Community Hospital, a hospital that still exists in the downtown Cebu City. Of course I can't consciously remember anything from the first two or three years of my life after birth. But facts are available as my parents, relatives and neighbors told me how I behave when i was a baby.

My father, originally named Rito Paraiso Jr., but called Junior, was a Marine Engineer and had come to Isabel Leyte to work as a company driver for PASAR a copper manufacturing company there till now. He was a Marine Engineer and consequently had not been in actual front lines of his course. He was originally from Garfield, Cebu City and had obtained his B.S. degree in marine engineering from the Univeristy of Cebu.

My mother, originally Maria Teresa Dasmariñas, but called Marites, was born in Palompon Leyte. She had studied at Matlang National High School and graduated High school with honors before her marriage. My mother is the constant breadwinner of the family.

My paternal twin elder brothers, Micheal Ryan and Reymond Rey, were born about four years ahead of me on May 13, 1988.

With the motivation to improve the kind of life that they lived, my parents together with my twin elder brothers went back to Cebu. My Father Junior took his first sail as a Marine engineer but only lasted for a year. He said life on the sea was so empty without his family.

I went to the standard schools in St. Therese Elementary School but also to a kindergarten before starting in the elementary school level. And my parents provided an encyclopedia, Compton's Encyclopedia, that I often read as a child. And also there were other books available from either our house or the house of the grandparents that were of educational value.

Those who are opposed to the idea of men and women playing baseball together, often defend their argument with the belief that women are not physical capable of participating in sports. In addition they often entice the belief that women are more susceptible to injury than men. This is not a valid reason to exclude women and there is an abidance of research that refutes this claim. In addition to excluding women based on their sex, the sport of baseball is connected to racial segregation. It was believed that baseball was a white man's sport and only men who were white possessed the ability to play the sport. This ideology has filtered into present society, resulting in a few number of African Americans or people of color who participate in the sport. With that being said race is absolutely a factor in whether or not women can play baseball with men. Women who are not white are seen as inferior and they are not expected to be successful in playing baseball. There are great deal of stereotypes that surround race and a person's athletic ability. These stereotypes have been around since the "Americanization" of baseball and traces of them are still evident today. Physical size and strength, the possibility of injuries, and the color of one's skin have been used as strong reasons to prohibit women and girls from entering the world of baseball, all of these claims are absurd and false, these issues should not just be associated women due to their biological sex. Women regardless of race are just as capable as men to participate in the sport of baseball. We can alleviate and erase these myths surrounding the inferiority of women and the superiority of men in the arena of sports. To solve this problem we must start early, we must preparing girls early to have the ability and skill to play baseball amongst their male counterparts.…

During that time, my family and I were still living in the Philippines. My mother was a housewife, while my father worked as a government employee. Having three little children where two were studying in a private school must have been difficult, considering that only one income was providing the children’s school requirements and the family daily needs. I do not recall most of the situation, all I remember was we were still recovering for our financial problem and having my situation is one of the reason that pushed…

I would never imagine myself being the person that I am now I'm here in the United States. I was born in the Philippines and migrated here at the age of ten. Without knowing and not understanding the reason why it was a difficult trial for me. It was burdensome learning and trying new things especially at school because I feared that wasn’t capable enough.I did poorly for my academics because I was afraid of change. In that, I felt immobilized. Like not stepping forward because of the tall flight of stairs that was in front of me.…

MOST of the slaves who were imported into the American colonies, and into the United States before 1808, were brought from that part of the African coast which lies east of Cape Palmas, or still further south, but a considerable number came from the regions of the Gambia and Senegal rivers. These were mostly Mandingos, but partly Fulas. The Fulas are not precisely negroes, but seem to be a mixture of negro and Berber stock, and have long been devout Mohammedans. Among them, as among the Mandingos, education, to the point of reading the Koran and writing, was not infrequent. 1…

I am Ivan Lou C. Allego, a sophomore B.S. Management Student at the University of the Philippines – Cebu. I have enjoyed the privilege of the monthly stipend provided by your institution during my first year in college. To this, I am most sincerely grateful. The grant has supported me in ways I cannot even begin to describe. And I am indebted to the support you have given me throughout the past school year. It is indeed very unfortunate that this support has been put on hold due to my lack of commitment to the scholarship program. I am truly very sorry for not carrying the responsibility that this privilege has put on my shoulders – the same responsibility I would have been able to fulfil had I been more focused on my academic standing rather than on co-curricular matters that I had blindly placed much of my attention to. I prioritized my candidacy for a position in the student council more than the grades I had to maintain for my scholarship. I am already taking measures to make up for my lapses, especially with regard to my INC mark in a certain subject. It is sad to note that learning from my mistake came at such a very high cost.…

My name is Shawn Sharima Chavarria. I was born on April 12, 1987. I was raised by my grandparents, my maternal parents. I am also the first born grandchild. I am the oldest child for my mother, having two younger brothers who reside with my mother. I attended La Inmaculada Primary School, Muffles College High School graduating with a Diploma in Academic Business, Muffles Junior College graduating with an Associate Degree in General Studies, University of Belize graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in English Education, and presently studying at Galen University to acquire a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I have always been a rather quiet individual at home, at work, and at school. Accustomed to being around primarily adults, I am mature for my age and most of my friends are males. My hobbies are reading, cooking, baking, and listening to music. Occasionally, I watch some television if I am bored. I did well in school, as I always read ahead and researched even before school opened. I spent my vacation reading all my school textbooks and highlighting the information I deemed important, while my friends spent theirs traveling or enjoying themselves. In College, I used to spend more time with my friends. We would play cards and dominoes and eventually I became a great domino player. I have been encouraged to enter competitions, but I just play for the fun of it. I am not someone who craves the spotlight as I do not enjoy being the center of attention. I am more of a behind the scenes type of person, preferring to observe than step to the forefront.…
