Autumn Taine Monologue
Autumn Taine

Autumn woke up in one of Austin’s shirts. She got up and headed to the bathroom. She traded her shorts for some of her yoga pants. She left Austin’s shirt on. She went to the kitchen to start breakfast. By the time she had cracked the first egg, arms wrapped around her. They might have been Jason’s - no, Jason would never grab her like this. Neither would Austin. She tried to scream, but a firm hand closed around her mouth. Fear spread through her body like acid. The person dragged her like a rag-doll, despite the fact that she was fighting as hard as she could. He put her in the back of a pick-up truck. She screamed just as Austin came running. She turned around and started running the other direction but Satin was there. He used her momentum to swing her up and crush her to the ground. She felt fire on her whole left side. Tears threatened, but she pushed them back. He was on top of her now, his knee pressed into her stomach, his hand pinning both her her arms above her head. The other hand was holding a sharp blade to her throat. “Ready to die?” He hissed. She looked into his eyes and realized that he wasn’t bluffing.
“Satin!” It was a male voice. The man above her growled and moved the blade. He stood and flung the knife in her saviors direction. But when it came within three feet of him it froze.
Satin cursed. “ Got a season with you, huh?” He spit out the words like poison. “Winter by the looks of this magic?” Fire erupted but died down no sooner than it was born. “Why can’t you stay out of this

The woman brought out a long wooden staff, wrapped in green vines. It was thin and about two feet taller than she was. She swung and it collided with his jaw. Satin pulled out two long blades like machetes and began to fight the both of them. Satin twirled and swung the blades with the momentum. The two jumped back, just barely being missed. The three fought each other mercilessly. Satin was struggling against the two. He wouldn’t be able to old out much longer. Autumn felt frozen with her mouth hanging open. A window from the building collapsed spilling shards of glass over the ground. The woman screamed. Autumn looked at her and saw that at her abdomen, one of the shards was deep in her. It was a big piece too. She fell over, blood coming out of her mouth. The man, temporarily distracted, was spun around by satin and a knife was pressed to his throat. Autumn decided it was time to take action. She sprinted silently towards satin and the man. Satin was not expecting that. She placed her hands on his shoulders and boosted herself up, holding on with her inner thighs as her lower legs trapped his
