Avatar is a science fiction film. It sees paraplegic soldier Jake Sully who works with scientists to infiltrate the Na’vi, a native race on the moon Pandora.
Jake learns the native’s culture and falls in love with Neytiri, the chief’s daughter. He faces a decision of whether to allow his military unit to invade the land or stay and defend it with the Na’vi race.

Sound effects show the invasion. During the scene where the military is invading with their ships and destroying the Na’vi’s culture and the home, there are loud invading sounds.
One of the loudest sounds is the intense and powerful missiles being shot from the aircrafts.
These unnatural sounds from the military weapons invade our senses and portray the military people as the bad guys because they are destroying the Na'vi culture.
In the same scene when the Na’vi are running around, away from the missiles, there is no music, there are just sounds of loud screaming which makes us hear the pain of the Na’vi during the invasion.

One more cinematic technique which portrays the invasion of Pandora is the camera shots. While the humans are attacking and invading Pandora, there are a variety of camera shots which help us to see a sense of invasion and see the emotions of the characters.
