“The working world is in a moment of extraordinary generational change.” Pollack, Lindsey. (2013). Baby Boomers are continuing to work well into their 60s , Gen Xers are in midway into their careers and Millennials are advancing in their careers and taking on leadership roles. This has caused a change in the workplace dynamics. Businesses are managing three different generation of employees each with differing attitudes. These differences on one hand are informative for the managers and the upper management to be able to manage employees keeping the differences in mind, on the other hand if ignored it can pose a challenge. The key to manage the generation mashup is to effectively manage the differences in values and expectations of each generation, Focus and recognize unique skill set of each and make the workplace a place of collaboration and exchange of ideas.
