Baby Boomers Have The Swagger Attitude
Working in healthcare I have had the privilege to work with different generations and each one has its certain quirk. Now, I don’t believe that all baby boomers have the, “swagger” attitude. I can say that I’ve had those patients who have a certain je ne sais quoi attitude that makes me rethink signing up for another double shift at the nursing home. Now, I understand that I’m there to provide a service to someone else but it’s inexcusable that anyone act in arrogant manner towards another person. What gets me through those tough days is something that my mom preaches to us daily and that’s, “being nice to those who are not nice to you is how you can make this world a better place.”

It’s hard not to be confident when you grew up in a life of prosperity and well-being. Now, if we start playing the blame game on why do Baby Boomers have this, “swagger” attitude we could look at their parents. We tend to learn how to act from what our parents teach us. Many of the parent of Baby Boomers were survivors of the World War II. This caused many parents to spoil their children. This in turn allowed baby boomers to explore and invent without worries. This might be why many baby boomers walk or behave in a very confident way. Now, we live in a world where you can’t even trust your shadow due to the ever changing economy, terrorism, and non-order. There are those who say that baby boomers are too blame but I believe that we shouldn’t waste time in blaming others, we should work together to find a solution so we can secure the future for our children and …show more content…
Trying to explain the procedure sometimes is harder than actually performing the procedures because some baby boomers don’t understand, and instead of listening to the instructions, they rather yell and treat you as if you’re incompetent. Now, this makes things harder for both parties, but if you take time to explain, they tend to come around. This attitude is not only found in baby boomers because I come across this attitude with patients at our OB/GYN
