The “boomers” are a large group of Americans who have affected and will continue to affect the nation’s social, political, and economic aspects of life since the day they were born. The birthrate the United States rose after World War II and maintained high through the middle 1960s. This population “boom” was a direct effect of World War II and a booming economy that roused the increase in in children born unto these families of soldiers returning from war. From 1946 through 1964 these “boomers” have had an impact on society at each stage of their lives.
