Knowing one’s motherland is the most responsible and patriotic thing that can be and should be done by every citizen of that country. Bangladesh studies help students know Bangladesh from different angles, different dimensions. So, Bangladesh Studies is a course which should be included in all type of academic syllabus of this country.
Topics covered in the course
Live and Livelihood realities’ evolvement in rural Bangladesh: This course was first started with a micro or individual level of focus. Students were required to go to their own village and observe the changes in different aspects of rural people’s life and livelihood that were brought about by various factors. Mainly, Changes in education, health, social, political, cultural and economic perspectives were the main focus and the factors that brought about and are still bringing about this change.
Success story on agriculture: a success story of any agricultural product in Bangladesh was the next individual focus of the course. Any recent success story of any products in agriculture, the factors that made the success possible, the factors which are hindering the success, what the demand of that particular product to stay successful and what are the future prospects of that product were the focus or purpose of the study.
Market failure scenario: another individual study was an incident of any market failure scenario in Bangladesh. The reasons behind the market failure incident, what should have been done to avoid it, what should be done to avoid a repetition of the same problem in the future, what are the different stakeholders thinking about the failure and how are they coping with it etc. were the focus of the study.

    In society Markets are an essential part to help the United States Economy, except sometimes this is not the case. There are times when markets can affect our economy, when this occurs, it is called a Market failure. Except, what exactly is a market Failure? According to our textbook, market failure is, “When our resources [and services] are not allocated efficiently.” (Page 56). What this means is that the amount of demand from the customer does not equal the amount of what is supplied by the suppliers.     Currently share market is well known to all. It is known that the economic stability and prosperity of a country depend on the condition of her share market. Many brokerage houses are now operating in our country to help investors. When Bangladesh economy looks like a good shape based on capital/share market, that time Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange index was halted after it fell by 660 points, or 9.25%, in less than an hour. Chittagong Stock Market also met a similar fate. An abrupt crash of the market sparked violent protests from the Bangladeshi investors. It was the biggest one-day fall in its 55-year history. It is estimated that over three million people - many of them small-scale individual investors - have lost money because of the plunging share prices. The benchmark index had climbed by 80% in 2010 but has lost more than 27% since early December. As a result Investment in the share market is a popular business among the educated middle class of Bangladesh who were left frustrated with the sudden loss to their capital. They were finding ways and means to exit from the market in order to minimize the losses Why this is happen our question is raise, it is not expected for us miracle index up and suddenly down. The experts give their comment that the immediate reason for this crash was the policy of the regulators of the market who laid down a limit for investment by the banks and other financial institutions in the stocks. This was done in order to avoid the market being overvalued. As the banks and other big investor institutions withdrew the capital from the market, the panic ensued.…
