In the speech, “The Gettysburg Address” Lincoln explains, “Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal”(Lincoln 27). This demonstrates that all men are created equal, which is relevant because since we are all equal, we can share opinions without being berated by others. The evidence suggests that we are a great nation knowing that we are all created equal. Likewise, in the blog, “Making the Future Better, Together”, Eboo Patel states, “They would be encouraged to cultivate good relationships with fellow citizens from other backgrounds, no matter the tensions and conflicts in the lands from which they came” (Patel CR4).
