Americans have over come a lot in history, we have been through many wars and lost many lives but one thing we as Americans have not been able to get over is racism. Racism has played a big role in our history. Abraham Lincoln may have abolished slavery which in fact is a form of racism but he didn't get ride of the fact that there will always be a wall built up between many whites and African Americans. Many African Americans have led rallies over these last hundred years trying to fight racism, while some have made a dent in this social disagreement even if it wasn't long term and others just made matters worse. As a person who is in a interracial relationship, you face disgrace from those who believe it is wrong but who is to say that. It wasn't written in the law nor was it wrote in the bible so therefor it isn't a sin or even wrong. Interracial couples and their children get constant criticism from those who oppose their love, their children are praised by some but not all. Those who disagree with interracial relationships are stuck in the past and not in the present where it is perfectly fine to be with whoever make them happy. There have been a few rallies over the deaths of a few African Americans claiming that it was a act of racism due to the fact that a white officer of the law shot them. As a officer its their job to protect and serve Americans, they use their best judgment on every situation whether it being shooting someone because they are a treat to society or if it is arresting them. Some Americans believe that all lives matter not just those of the African Americans. Every life no matter how big or small, black or white we were born equal in gods eyes, somewhere in history we have lost that and have made it to where we are heartless and only those of our own color matter over those of another. All lives and opinions should matter and not just a few because that is what defines us as
