Throughout, American history there has been a multitude of influential leaders who has brought fairness, freedom, and change to the nation. From George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and then 44th president of the United States of America “Barack Hussein Obama”.As the first African American to become president and inspire with the ideology “Yes We Can” motto to set American tradition. Obama steps up in the time of crisis and able to think and act creatively in a difficult situation. It takes a great man and women to run the nation but it takes a great leader to have the trust of the people and stay true to fulfilling the each promise. Obama showed only the culturally sensitive and transformational leadership but he responded to many different situations using the various types of leadership models. In this way, he has modeled which has been explained as contingency leadership. While he was traveling to abroad he was conciliatory, humble and apt to listen other before speaking. When he faced the failing in automobile industry, he did not mince the words but he stood tough for certain change. This was a scene where he forced GM and Chrysler to accept new MPG standards and pare done their long –term commitment to NASCAR.When Congress reject to work with him ,Obama chose to stand alone and legislate by executive order. He risked the potential impeachment to stick to his value and principle and accomplish what he set out to accomplish even if many thought that was wrong for the nation. During the heat of the current foreign and economic obstacles, he worked hard to accomplish what he had promised understanding that each second he waited could have meant a lost home or job for another group of the people.
