Abstract
This study was intended to seek the Personality traits and Perceives Stress of the non-teaching staff of CEU Makati-Gil Puyat as basis for their Job Satisfaction. By the use of purposive sampling technique which the researchers will examine the entire population that has a particular set of characteristics. Thirty five (35) respondents will be participating in the study. The participants are Non-teaching staff of Centro Escolar University-Makati, Gil Puyat. The researchers chose non-teaching staff as their respondents to measure their job satisfaction that is influenced by their personality characteristics and stress by means of answering different standardized questionnaires. These questionnaires were distributed to the respondents per department. The NEO PI-R and the Perceived Stress Scale was administered to the participants of the study to measure their personality and stress. The NEO PI-R consists of 50-items developed by Paul Costa, Jr. and Robert McCrae. The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) was developed by Sheldon Cohen, which consists of 10 items and is most widely used psychological instrument for measuring the perception of stress. In order to determine the Job Satisfaction of the respondents, a 36-item questionnaire was used in the study that covers the nine facet scales used to assess the employee attitudes about the job and aspects of the job. The Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) was developed by Paul E. Spector. It was concluded that employees in CEU Makati are more ambivalent than satisfied in their job position and more often they do not feel any dissatisfaction.
