Battle Of Gettysburg Dbq Analysis
The battle of Gettysburg took place in Pennsylvania of 1863, the battle lasted three days many lives were taken in both sides. Robert E. Lee was the general the South, they had invaded the North and was trying to defeat the Union Army. However, the outcome was Union Army held them off and sent the Confederated's retreating. Many reasons went into the Norths win against the South.

In document b sources estimated the number of casualties at the battle of Gettysburg for both union and confederate showing the deaths, wounded, and missing.
The union had the biggest troop with a number of 918,000, compared to the confederacy that had at least 278,000.
Since the union outnumbered the south troops that was already a reasoning to why they won,

    The film discussed multiple different weapons used. One such weapon was the canon. The film discussed the rifled cannon which consisted of four and a half inch strips of rod iron that had a three inch groove boar. This made these canons tough, reliable, accurate, and have good range. The rifled cannon would deliver shells that explode on impact, thereby creating lots of shrapnel. These canons were capable of taking out ten men with one shot.
