He was a theorist and a supreme allied Commander during the first world war. Foch was in the Battle of the Marne and was an a aggressive, even very reckless commander. On sometime August,1914 the outbreak of the war started and Foch XX Corps participated in the german invasion but was there before retiring in the face of Germany and stopped them with a skillful counter attack. Foch became the Allied commander in chief in 1918 with his efforts handling his strategic reserves was able to successfully coordinate the French,British,American and the Italian . He stopped the Germans short of Nancy. He ordered the west to defend Paris, Foch’s got a prestige and his success soared as a result of the Victory at the Marne which he his widely credited for and while being a chief protagonist and also commanding the French Ninth Army. After he was promoted again to Assistant Commander in chief for the northern zone.
Conclusion- At the end of world war one a treaty was created to put peace to both of the treaties. This was very important and was called the treaty of Versailles.
