This poem is a little different than the other poem. This poem doesn’t really have descriptions and visual details but she often uses active verbs to describe her perceptions. A woman on a death bed that died and is talking to a man seems to be the theme of this poem. The poet makes everyone think about the afterlife like in the other poem. The man she is talking to is also talking to her and feel bad for her for example when he says “poor child, poor child (7-8)”. The man is showing love for her while she’s dead but when she was alive he didn’t treat her that way. There’s a saying that says “You never know what you got until its gone”. That saying applies to what happened in this poem. The woman now feels loved but she knows it’s too late for all of that and he also didn’t know she could hear or see
