According to Ms. Carroll, individual sessions have focused on consequential thinking and motivation to change. Ms. Carroll has expressed that Kevin demonstrates the ability to identify consequences for his actions; however, he minimizes the consequences he receives from his actions. In addition, Kevin has demonstrated a great deal of ambivalence towards change and struggles to understand how his negative behaviors affect others. Ms. Carroll reports that Mr. Brittingham attended an initial family therapy session with Kevin on January 12, 2017, and Mrs. Rollins attended an initial family therapy session with Kevin on February 8, 2017. In addition, Mr. Brittingham met with Ms. Carroll on February 12, 2017. According to Ms. Carroll, family therapy has focused on treatment planning and determining transition plans. Ms. Carroll reports that Mr. Brittingham and Mrs. Rollins have both expressed concerns regarding Kevin's non-compliance in the program and whether or not Kevin can demonstrate positive behaviors when he returns to the community.
