Being A Pediatrician
To start off, pediatricians have many responsibilities in order to keep children the healthiest possible. To begin, pediatricians keep a detailed note on which medications the child is already on, what the child is allergic to, antibiotics seem to work the best, and it’s their job to decide the amount of medicine the child should take, but all this takes skill and time (Chron). Being irresponsible would cause pediatricians to get the wrong type of medicine that the child could be allergic to. Moreover, pediatricians job is to ensure that the child will physically and mentally mature into a healthy adult, and they check all this by well-check visits when they check the weight, height, ears, back, throat and vision of the child (Chron). An important skill needed to be a pediatrician is to know how to take well check ups, because children need to stay safe and healthy throughout their lives all the way to adulthood. Additionally, characteristics needed to be a pediatrician are sensitive, good-natured personalities, enjoy interaction and direct care for people, comfortable around children, and it's crucial to be outgoing (Dr. Halm). For instance, not having the capability or skill of being able to be comfortable around children, or to be outgoing then how is it possible to take care of younger patients. To summarize, it takes tons of time and skill to help patients out the best way
