a small idea.” Instead, if he said, “I have a big idea,” well you would probably find his idea more interesting. So, is this word, big, really big or does it turn out to have a bad connotation? There are so many perks of being big.
There are substantial organizations, such as the FFA. The FFA provides achievement in premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agriculture education. This is one of the many great organizations that are big in America. Many of these extraordinary organizations offer great opportunities America is called, “The Promise Land” for a reason. America has a much larger social equality than many other countries. Equality provides all sorts of massive programs, such as free medical service and programs to guarantee a minimum income. This is all part of the big picture of how Americans get big benefits. Not only do we get benefited in all of the help that our big government and hefty taxes give us, but we have other great benefits too. In 1787, our founding fathers wrote America’s constitution. As a result, we received the freedoms of speech, religion, the right to bear arms and many more significant amendments. These strong amendments give us a big advantage against other countries. Another advantage is the size of our states. You might say that Rhode Island, Delaware or Maryland aren’t that large in size, but we call them states. There are multiple countries that are the same size or smaller than our smallest states and less of the countries in the world that are much bigger than Florida. I would say that these solid advantages make America very
captivating. With every great thing, comes a catch. America has experienced and will continue to experience lousy exposure to the big bad effects. American children eat lousy school lunches every day because Michelle Obama claims that our kids are too fat. Individuals make tons of money every year selling dietary supplies because we think that we are too fat. However, we can also go to the nearest McDonalds and buy a supersize meal for cheaper than you could a salad. Well folks, do we want to be big or small? What about the large pile of debt America is sitting on right now? We are 16.3 trillion dollars in debt right now. I would say that is a big pile of sour dough! So, are the super-sized proportions and king sized beds all for show, or are we just that great of a developed country? America loves to shine the bonuses that our country has to offer, but we can’t hide all the dirt under the rug. We have our downfalls, we just need to realize that bigger isn’t always better.
