Growing up poor has many disadvantages, being poor has led to a personal battle that has kept me sheltered and fearful of the world. Low self-esteem. Passing by a group of more than five people was always terrifying for me. Always thinking what was being said about me, and if my appearance was acceptable. All violence comes from a start point, and most of the time the start point is adults and family members within the community. Smoking, carrying guns, using profanity is all that I see and hear from my community. I would propose that all the adults should begin to act like role models especially in front of young children. Whatever young children view from an adult they portray it as acceptable and will follow suit not knowing the consequences or seeing their actions as anything but
