Benjamin Franklin: How Effective Is My MVP Campion?
My MVP campion is Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin Franklin was the fifteenth of seventeen children. He was Born in January 17, 1706 in Boston. He also died at April 17, 1790 in Philadelphia

Franklin had been wise enough to connect a ground wire to his key... two other scientists attempting to copy the experiment but neglecting the ground wire they were killed when they were actually struck by lightning. He was also self educated so think how scared he was.

He also created glasses. About half of you would be affected or maybe not even able to work. He didn't just do it for you, he also did it for himself. He couldn't see far distance.

Franklin also writes books and that could change the way people think. Its putting them in a different setting

Meanwhile, Franklin’s existence was based on doing good for society. He was a public figure, an activist, a revolutionary. He was not out to manipulate society in a negative sense, which is how Warner’s wording makes it seem. Franklin did not allow himself to generalization in order to keep his writing as unbiased as possible. He understood that in order to help society, he must create a discussion that allows the audience to think and establish their own opinions and arguments. This exact argument can be seen through the Dogood Papers. At first glance, these letters seem like a flow of a persons opinions and complaints. However, Franklin wrote them with the intention of creating a discussion within society on these particular problems. Warner argues that because Franklin did not have anything in common with Mrs. Dogood when he wrote the letters, the claims are valid, and to some extent, I agree. However, Franklin had to include his own biases, because without them, he would have nothing to write…

During the summer…

Amidst Haslett’s narration of Franklin, I noticed these words of Franklin symbolic, saying his son is not the same anymore since he is now damaged by his actions as “On the floor of his room he’d trace with delicate hands, what he remembered of my design: I see those same hands now spread on his thighs, nails bitten down, cuticles torn” (Haslett 9). These words were not only composed of Graham’s opinions of his son. It also includes the writer’s implication of Franklin’s torment upon losing his inspirational mentor. I can relate these feelings myself for I am a person who idolizes his father. Franklin as a child also looked up to Graham as an inspirational figure, but he was let down. I would have fallen apart like Franklin if I were in his situation.…

Benjamin Franklin and Booker T. Washington were both American personalities that assumed great importance in the history of the United States. Franklin was born in 1706, in Boston, to an English father and an American mother. Washington, on the other hand, having a family history of slaves, did not know his origins or anything about his ancestries. As the author himself says in his autobiography, “My life had its beginning in the midst of the most miserable, desolate, and discouraging surroundings.” (Washington, p.15). He only knew his mother, a brother and a sister and he did not even know the time or the place of his birth. In spite of some significant differences in their early lives and, after, along their trajectories, Benjamin Franklin and…

Franklin gives advice without recognizing he is doing it. When the reader views his thoughts on his own work, they see that he strived to be better and was improving himself as much as he could. For example, he writes of how he “discover’d some of my Faults and corrected them” when comparing his works to the original. Throughout the first piece, he showed ambition, improvement, and self-motivation. Franklin also writes about not giving up when he couldn’t find work as a Printer. He went from Boston to New York to Philadelphia to find a job. During this time he underwent sickness and fever, hunger, poverty, etc. Not only that, but he had to start from the beginning in each place to get to know people and make connections in order to get him a job.…
