Even though there are a lot of similarities, those small differences are what made my decision to transfer from my previous university. As a foreign student, I was able to recognize that Americans at my previous university were more close to each other and just wanted to interact with their countrymen. Favorably, that gap is reduced at Babson. The relationship between those students seem to be more close and stronger. It really contribute to the wellbeing of the students and community itself. It is a win-win situation, where Americans can be benefitted from other cultures as well as the Internationals from the people of the country we are. Fortunately, I can say that I do not regret the decision I took and that I am actually enjoying it.
While both universities are well-known for a diverse student body, it is really important how they address diversity within the community. With diversity, such problem as stereotypes, discrimination and microagressions may arise. How these aspects are treated around campus talks a lot about the university itself.
