Frankie- 12 years old, antisocial, tedious, mean, afraid, lonely and stubborn. Stated before “This is the summer when for a long time she has not been a member” now she’s a part of the wedding of her brother, a member. Someone's who wants to stay out of trouble, and her solution was to stay home and be tedious.
Page 2 Berenice points out “ You jealous,” said Berenice. She see frankie as someone who's jealous because her brother is getting married and is in love. Page 10 John claim “ You smell sweet” to Frankie. John reconquize frankie as a clean person who does not smell badly as others suggested. I know it’s third person limited due to the facts that the author expresses how frankie’s feeling and thoughts rather the other characters. On the other hands, uses the terms “she, they and ect.” The narration point of view help me to understand Frankie’s character by mainly focusing on her, her internal feelings and shows Frankie’s perspective into view.
The language of the story in my perspective is formal, suitable to the facts that most of the sentences from part 1 are complex, and add specific meaning to the writing. All seriousness, no humor, and it's not filled with metaphors. The were recurring images, Frankie’s keeps dreaming about Alkasa, mainly about the snow. Happened in page 4 and repeats itself in page 10. Also, thinking about her secret trouble, being a criminal, committed a queer sin and leaving this town but don't know where to go. This reveal that the character likes to flashback to what has happened and looking forward to what may not
