TAMPA, Fla. — Jeb Bush has played the wide-eyed optimist, anointing himself the “joyful tortoise” in a campaign season low on joy and reptiles.…
Dr. King’s remarkable speech uses logos appeal to have evidence that there isn’t freedom in the U.S. In paragraph 8 of his speech, Dr. King says, “…robbed of their dignity by signs stating ‘For Whites only’. We cannot be satisfied as long as an N-word in Mississippi cannot vote…” This is using logical appeal because it gives evidence on how blacks are not free. It talks about the “For Whites Only” sign and how that makes the blacks lose their dignity. King adds that example to show how freedom is not established in the U.S. Dr. King also says, “A N-word in Mississippi cannot vote.” This shows logical appeal because if someone can’t vote in their country, then they are not really free. By saying that a black in Mississippi can’t vote, Dr. King…
The two Democratic nominees have narrowed down to Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state and, Bernie Sanders, junior United States senator of Vermont, who fascinatingly enough, isn’t exactly a Democrat. He interchangeably identifies himself as an independent, a socialist, or an independent socialist. The two candidates share numerous viewpoints on certain policies, but the more one observes the more evident it becomes of their different positions and goals as candidates. While Hilary comes off as more traditional, cautious with her word choices, and some may say even say vague; Sanders is more to the point, straight forward.…
Bernie Sanders, democratic socialist, wants to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure. This is would create millions of new jobs, grow the middle class and boost the economy. He wants health care…
The Resistance Party is mainly targeting the population of young voters because they need to learn more in-depth about politics which will ultimately help them decide where they stand on specific issues. Undoubtedly, every young voter is different. Some may like either democratic or republican viewpoints but there are others who may like viewpoints from both political parties. However, politics is not just a pick and choose game. Researching about different approaches to issues and assimilating new ideas are beneficial in order to become knowledgeable in politics. For instance, abortion is one of most significant issues in today’s society. Although many young voters may think choosing pro-life or pro-choice is all there is too it, it is important…
King's message aims to demolish the stereotypes in which dominant culture like to believe. I think that dominant culture of Canada romanticize the culture of Indigenous people which lead to having a lot of stereotypes that are no longer relevant. Today as someone already mentioned because of globalization, most Indigenous people are urbanized and because of that there are not much different from us…

Rosa Parks faced many stereotypes. As an example, in a biography about Rosa Parks, “BIOGRAPHY”, you will find that Rosa Parks was an activist that was always fighting for education and civil rights. For example, in the Rosa Parks biography, “BIOGRAPHY”, it says, “Raymond…received little formal education due to racial segregation… He supported and encouraged Rosa’s desire to complete her formal education” (BIOGRAPHY). This evidence shows that stereotypes impact society because it shows how Rosa’s husband, Raymond, couldn’t complete his education since people didn’t think that African-Americans were important enough to be fully educated.…
Today America is one of the richest countries in the world, however over half of it geos to those in our country who already own so much of the wealth. Today The United States’ wealth distribution has a greater gap between the exceedingly wealthy and the rest of the citizens than it has in nearly the past decade. “There is something profoundly wrong when the top one-tenth of one percent owns almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 percent,” believes Bernie Sanders. One of Bernie’s main platforms is redistribution of wealth and reduction in income along with wealth inequality. As a country filled with the obnoxiously rich our childhood poverty rate is among the highest of all of the developed countries. We work longer for lower wages than other countries and we shouldn’t have to. Bernie Sanders is looking to over double federal minimum wage from $7.25 an hour all the way to $15 an hour. He believes that no home with a working family member spending 40 hours a week on the job should be stuck living below the poverty line.…

In the society today, men and women are trying to make things equal between the two genders. Women are allowed to participate in what some people call men activities or jobs, such as: welding, mechanics, or even being the CEO of some companies. During Sanders’s past most of a man’s future was to work hard and to support their families and women’s jobs were to take care of the house and children. In the past, all men worked hard. Sanders grew up to believe that men were to be in charge of everything. Men were the backbone of the country. Sanders say “When I was a boy, the men I knew labored with their bodies, they were marginal farmers, just scrapping by, or welders, steelworkers, and carpenters” (Sanders, 623.) Sanders had more consideration towards men. His view on men are without a doubt shown, that men are what keeps this country up, if it was not for the hard working hands of men, nothing would be able to get function properly. He also believed that men were warriors, superior beings that would give their life for the right thing. It has always been known that men are more in control than women are. It is clearly shown that Sanders is sensitive towards men and will always be on their side no matter what the situation is, but he also has a soft side for women because he has now come to realize what they go through alot while men are at work.…
My label assigned upon completing the quiz was Moderate Conservative which usually represent a mix of both liberal and conservative ideologies. Did you know that majority Americans classify themselves as Moderate Conservative because they are more moderate than conservative or liberal. The meaning that stands behind this label is that Moderate Conservative people strongly believe that the standards of morality and safety should be enforced by the government no matter what. Another belief is that each person should be responsible for there own financial matters, and that free-market competition is better for people than central planning by the government. However, unlike my representative Joaquin Castro who is a Libertarian-leaning Liberal, which is basically the opposite of myself. Mr. Castro believes in tolerance for different people and lifestyles. My representative also believes that a good society is best achieved by the government redistributing wealth and the governments purpose is to decide which programs are good for society, and how much should be spent on…
This is one of the quotes that has made Donald Trump gain so much attention and fame in the last two months. Why? Because he is stereotyping the Latin American race. Unfortunately, Mr. Trump is not the only person in the world to stereotype against the Latin American race. Many people around the world may assume that the Latin American race is all about the spicy food, the distinct mariachi music, and the clothes, and the language. In the United States, the stereotype that many people have against us have changed over time. Now, it’s that we only work as carpenters, lawn mowers, restaurants, and any other type of leftover job that other people do not want; and we all know what Donald Trump’s stereotypes of Latin Americans are: drug dealers,…
