Bernstein's Poem From 66 Experiments

From 66 Experiments by Charles Bernstein, I chose experiment 23 to write a poem with each line filling in the blanks of "I used to be _____ but now I am ______."

I chose this experiment because I am one who draws a lot of writing inspiration from personal experience and the instruction allows me to do that. However, it is not to say that it made it easier because it was challenge to reflect at my own life and dig deep into who I was and examine who I am now. At the start, I knew I have already changed a lot so there are many contrasts I can think of but I had to avoid redundancy. Rather than thinking too much, I went all in and wrote freely to let my thoughts and feelings flow in and out.
