Best Baseball Player: Babe Ruth

Babe Ruth is one the most remembered players in baseball history. He's one of the best batter of all time. He changed baseball in so many ways . He played baseball until he couldn't play anymore due to medical issues. Babe Ruth is my role model because he's the greatest baseball player. "Ruth major league career began with Boston Red Sox in 1915 as a pitcher"("America the Beautiful"). This quote shows when he first started his career. He focused more on pitching then being a batter. He laters start see how good he can be as a batter rather then a pitcher. "Boston when he was setting his first home run record and after move to New York"(Creamer 230). He got traded to New York where he spent most of his career and where eventually excels more
at batting."Because he walked so much Huggin moved him from 4th to 3rd in batting order"(Creamer377). Huggin moved to 3rd in batting order because he walks that mean he knows when the ball is in the box or not so his batting iq was good. Babe Ruth eventually broke records that's how good he was." Ruth hit 29 home runs breaking the season record set in 1884"("Babe,Ruth"). He was outstanding he eventually breaks this record in 1927." 1927 he hit 60 homer the season record until 1974"(America the Beautiful). This record was pretty hard to break it took 47 years for one person to do it and he was using wooden bats. "Smashing in a record of 54 home runs while compiling.376 batting average"("Ruth Babe). His batting average was amazing the didn't see any thing like in baseball history back then. Then he started to get old and retire. "Babe Ruth has a heart attack"("America Beautiful"). He started to slow down from baseball he started haven heart issues. "In 1935 finally from baseball"("America the Beautiful"). He finally gets forced to retire because his condition of his health. At least won the World Series and goes out with a win. "Babe wins World Series"("Babe Ruth"). Babe Ruth is the greatest baseball player. He started as a pitcher and progressed to be the greatest batter. He holds and set a lot of records. When he started to retire because of his physical health but he still loved the game. Babe Ruth had a big imprint in baseball history. He had amazing career.
