Better Than Store Bought Eggs Are Better
Research said this: farm fresh eggs are better because the yolk is a deeper color, and it is richer in taste. While store bought eggs are a medium yellow and not as rich in taste. Farm fresh eggs taste a lot better than store bought eggs. The reason why farm fresh eggs are better is because the home raised chickens are better taken care of, and they are a lot more clean. Because if a chicken can get out in the dirt they will roll around in it and that will clean them and get the bugs off. The chickens at the egg plant can't get out in the dirt. I claim that the chickens at the factory are mistreated and not well taken care of and don't get fed, or watered as much as they need to be, they are also in to small of cages. One reason is that store bought eggs usually sit for about 6-8 months before they get on the shelf, the longer they sit the less nutritious they are. For example if you taste a farm fresh egg it will be much more nutritious than a store bought egg because they don't sit as long as the …show more content…
I am claiming that farm fresh eggs are better than store bought eggs. People shouldn't buy eggs from the store because you never know when you are gonna get sick from an egg there. The chicken could have gotten sick when it laid the egg and it could have done something to the egg to get someone sick. My reasons were: 1 Store bought eggs usually sit for 6 to 8 months before they get on the shelf. 2 The chickens at the eggplant dont get feed as well as home chickens. 3 It doesn't matter what color of eggs that a chicken lays they will all taste the same. This is what would happen if people followed this information. We would have a lot less people getting sick and, you would get a lot fresher eggs, chickens would get fed a lot better, and wouldn't get stuck with a bunch of other chickens in a tiny pen. That is why I did this

Diseases, health risks, unsanitary living conditions, and animal cruelty are just a few of the problems associated with the production of poultry products, resulting from the choices of major food corporations. On farms, typically called broilers, chickens are raised in confined farmhouses, often cramming hundreds of chickens. Forcing these animals to live in their own filth, health factors become a major concern. In the span of four to six weeks, chickens are raised in their own feces, an…

Farm fresh was cheaper in all categories except the lettuce, food lion offered it at 1.19 (only with an MVP card, original priced at 1.39). Farm fresh prices are as follows: one gallon whole milk was 3.25, white bread 1.09, dozen eggs 1.32, one pound of hamburger 4.08 compared to food lions: milk 3.75, bread 1.99, eggs 1.58, and hamburger 4.78. The next evaluation system was the grading on a scale of one to five, five being the highest. The categories that I felt that are the most important to customers are Cleanliness, Customer Service, Layout and Displays, and Diversity of Selection. The first category was Cleanliness; food lion received a 3 where farm fresh got a five. My experience started from the parking lot and then the store. I found numerous trash on the inside and fast food wrappings outside; also there were a lot of carts throughout Food Lions the parking lot. Farm Fresh was very clean and no carts where outside. The next category was Customer Service; Food Lion received a 3 where Farm Fresh received a 5. Immediately as I walked in to Farm Fresh I was greeted and…

First, every household in America should have free range backyard chickens because they provide great nutrition. Free range eggs from your backyard have seven times the Vitamin A and almost double the Vitamin E. They also have 292mg of the fatty acid Omega 3 versus the 0.033mg in caged chickens. That's a huge difference. Free range eggs also have less saturated fat. Caged chickens are fed a diet of corn, soy and cottonseed meals. These are three huge genetically modified organisms. By owning backyard…

As I said before the farmers drug the animals to make the process go faster but in the end it can possibly kill or severely injure the animals. Sometimes in severe cases farmers have to cut of chickens beaks so that when the chickens get in a fight they will not kill each other with their beaks. When the animals are stuck in a stall all day they do not get to experience the outdoors or do normal animal activities. The animals get very stressed and do not produce as well as they would if they did normal animal activities.…

Moreover, the chickens are born fragile and lack direction, and throughout their lives, Anderson mentions that, “if disease does not kill them… [they] walk under the wheels of a wagon—to go squashed and dead back to their maker,” further presenting the ineffectuality of human life. Ultimately, the same cycle is repeated over and over for the chickens, and no hope is…

    * That statement means that they don’t think of chickens as animals anymore. Right from the moment they’re laid (as eggs), they are thought of as food. I completely disagree with the statement, and this might affect the way chickens are raised by the point of view of the workers and officials (and what have you). If we keep thinking that these chickens are not animals, but are merely food for ourselves and our consumers, the process of making chickens might become more inhumane as it evolves to become even more efficient.…
