The one and only Beyoncé Knowles has earned the reputation of an extremely talented singer, actress, and mom. This performer is so popular that she is one of a select group of performers who can be known only by her first name.
Beyoncé Giselle Knowles was born on September 04, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Ever since her early childhood, she had dreamed of becoming a performer. Her goal was to become worldfamous not only in singing, but also in acting. Beyoncé’s family consisted of her father, Mathew who was a sales representative in medical equipment, her mother, Tina, who worked at a bank but later opened her own hair salon and her little sister, Solange. According to Tina Knowles, Beyoncé had always been a shy girl with very few friends. Her mother decided to sign up Beyoncé in dance lessons at age 7 to help her make friends. The first performance Beyoncé had, stunned her family, she had found a way to break out of her shell and find what she loves to do. From then on she began singing and winning local talent shows one after another proving to her family she had the talent to succeed.
In 1990, Beyoncé auditioned for a singing group called Girl’s Tyme at age nine. She ended up winning a spot in the group along with her cousin Kelly Rowland. They began performing with them at local events and in 1992 the group participated in the television talent competition referred as Star Search. Although Girl’s Tyme didn’t win the competition they turned into Destiny’s Child, a group managed by Beyonce’s dad. This group first consisted of Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LaToya Luckett, and LaTavia Robersor. This group released The Writing’s on the Wall released in 1999 that won them two Grammy awards. Roberson and Luckett left the group to go start their own. The new Destiny’s Child was Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams but after awhile Franklin quit leaving the group a trio. The trio’s last
