The Natural World
My view of the natural world is that it is filled with sin and misconception of the bible. Many interpret the bible in different ways that may not be of truth. I think this is exactly what Paul was trying to teach us in Romans. In chapters 1-8 of Roman, Paul spent a lot of time pointing out many issues in the natural world and how Christians should perceive them. He spoke on how the impact of sin on the natural world is a result of sinful nature in the world. The sins he mainly points out is basically the sins such as murder, adultery, and homosexuality. As Christians, these issues should be important to us because the same sins that were committed then are the same ones we see being committed today. I believe that today, many people do not worship the creator who we know is God, they are so stuck on worshipping the creation. The bible should be a guide to how Christians should live their lives.
Human Identity …show more content…
My view on human identity is that God created us all in his own image. He created us to have unique characteristics and for his own purpose. Everyone has a purpose in life and to be on this earth. Roman 6:6, for we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves in sin. Also in Romans, Paul speaks on human identity from the beginning. He speaks on how we as Christians should not stray away from who we are. In Roman 1:30, most of them are sinful as “they are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents.” In the world today, we are so into changing our identity to fit in with others instead of believing in how God want us to be. Having and knowing who you are in Christ could be beneficial to everyone.
Human Relationships
My view on human relationships as it pertains to God is that in the world today, many are turning against religion as for as sexuality goes. Sexuality is an issue in the world. Instead of a man and woman relationship, we see a lot of same sex relationships. This is a sin within itself.
Roman 1:26-27, states, “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts.
Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” Also, in the world, violence play a major part of human relationships as well. Paul made it clear that humans have a problem with truthfulness. He said in Rom. 1:29 that humans are full of deceit. How can we care or love one another when the world is full of
sin?
Culture
My view of culture in Roman 1-8 is how Paul stated that God doesn’t see any culture. It doesn’t matter if you are a Jew, Gentile or of any culture, he sees everyone the same. Paul states in (Romans 5:12-14) Paul continues to show that man’s culture was completely and always at enmity with GOD. In our culture today, the world is unjust and cruel. People put a division between cultures in a way that God would not approve. God protected everyone in his kingdom and treated everyone the same. Today, some see culture and disapprove of them. We should love one another instead of walking away from each other.
Conclusion
In my essay, I talked about the subjects of the natural world, human identity, human relationships, and culture. We all have different views of the world today and the bible. We all interpret the bible in a way that may or may not be correctly understood. We all have to live and appreciate what God has for us. The different relationships we have are good but the main relationship we need is with God. Paul makes it perfectly clear that Faith in Jesus Christ is the only escape from a world that will one day fall under the LORD condemnation and judgment. Having faith and believing in God, anything is possible.
