Family Background

Jonas Salk's parents names were, Daniel and Dora Salk. Daniel was Jonas's father and Dora was Jonas's mother. Dora was born in 1890, it didn't say a date on any of the sites I went on. Daniel was born in 1890 too, it also didn't say anything about a date on the sites I went on. Dora died in 1964 at the age of, 74. Daniel died in 1958 at the age of, 68. Dora Salk didn't do

anything for a living. Daniel Salk was a clothing designer. Jonas had 2 brothers and no sisters.

His brothers names are, Herman and Lee Salk. Lee was born on May, 2 1992 he was a child

psychologist he also attended the University of Michigan. Herman was born in 1985. There

wasn't a lot on Herman and I couldn't find anything else. Jonas Salk grew up in New York but his

parents were German immigrants, he was also Jewish. Jonas Salk didn't have and traumas or

any major illness.Jonas didn't have any big childhood accomplishments except that he

2.As a child he was not interested in science but was interested on the human side of nature, during High School he was interested in being in the law job field. He gave up that because his mom said he wouldn't make a good lawyer because he couldn't win a argument with her.
