1. Databases
A database is essentially an electronic filing system. It allows you to quickly select desired pieces of information.
An example of a databse program is Microsoft Excel.

2. Networks
A network is a group of two or more computer systems that are linked together.
Linksys is a network hardware provider.

At work we use a network to allow each employee access to the same electronic material stored on our server.
3. eBusiness eBusiness is the process of conducting business on the internet.
Oracle offers an eBusiness suite to assit businesses.

I have not used an eBusiness in any of my job performaces. However, I use eBusiness often when I order products online from the comfort of my home. One such retailer is Amazon.com.
4. Wireless
Wireless is communitaction between two or more point without needing to be physically connected.
Verizon Wireless offers wireless ability to businesses and indivisual people.

In my current profession, workers can be separated by 100 miles at different plants. The need to communicate still exists and is aided by the use of wireless smartphones.
5. Social Media
Socail Media is a tool that allows people, to share or exchange information, ideas, and pictures/videos in virtual communities.
An example of Social Media is Facebook.
