He uses many lines in the song to show just how much he tried, and how much blood, sweat, and tears he put in just to be remembered. He uses the quote “As my soul’s laid to rest “ to say that with everything he has given, to be remembered, the only thing left to give is his soul, which in this case was a very good choice of simile. Another way to look at this quote is that he is okay with dying after all that he has given up. Continuing the theme of giving everything he has, he uses a hyperbole perfectly fitting into the theme, “ I have given my heart for a moment of glory”, which means he has given everything he could to have one single moment
