To break it all down in more detail, first Juliet is most responsible for her and Romeo's death, because she was the one that took the potion in the first place. She took the potion when there were obviously other options but the Friar said, "...I hear thou must, and nothing may prorogue it, On Thursday next be …show more content…
married to this county."(Shakespeare.IV.i.3.). She could've chose a different path such as she could have taken a boat to Romeo and they could've ran off to another state or country. Also, she could've just hid from the Capulets so she didn't have to marry Paris. Lastly, if Juliet didn't want to marry Paris that bad she could've tricked Paris into drinking it himself by putting in something he was drinking. In a nutshell, it is Juliet's fault for both her and Romeo's death because she drank the liquid the Friar Lawrence gave her.
Moreover, Juliet is most to blame for the deaths of herself and her lover Romeo due to the fact that she trusted Friar Lawrence's plan too much.
First, the Friar Lawrence could've been paid by a Montague to poison Juliet so she would die. Also, the Friar's plan would've worked but he didn't make sure the note got to Romeo so he ended up killing himself due to the fact that Romeo was unaware of the Friar's plan. Finally, Juliet trusted the Friar and he said "Hold. Get you gone. Be strong and prosperous. In this resolve I'll send a Friar with speed to Mantua with my letters to thy lord."(Shakespeare.IV.I.5.). But, the Friar never got the letter through to Romeo due to the fact that the Friar he sent to give the letter to Romeo, was stopped at a Black Plague quarantine and he didn't give the letter to Romeo. Due to these facts Juliet is most to blame for both the deaths of herself and
Romeo.
Lastly, Juliet is the leading cause of herself and Romeo's lethal accidents because she actually tricked Romeo. First, she tricked Romeo into falling in love with her when she could've just married Paris and Romeo could've just loved Rosaline, which was the actual reason he was at that Capulet party. Also, Juliet cornered Romeo into making some risky decisions to just be with Juliet and he ended up killing Tybalt. Finally, Juliet tricked Romeo into thinking that she was actually dead and it ended up costing them both of their lives. In the recent light of these facts Juliet, played the leading role in both herself and Romeo's deaths.
With all these valid points Juliet was a major player in the deaths of herself and Romeo's deaths. First, she took the the sleeping spell liquid. Secondly, she put a boatload of trust in the Friar Lawrence's plan and it just came crashing down on both Romeo and Juliet. Last but not least, she played Romeo and pushed all the right buttons in order to trick Romeo into loving her. All things considered, Juliet was the most to blame for herself and Romeo's death.
