Dave Mirra was one of the biggest influences in BMX, he performed stunts many strive to learn today. He holds the record for the most gold medals in a single sport, and is one of my biggest inspirations in BMX. Disappointingly he took his own life a short time ago, on February 4, 2016. That year the Summer X-Games held an event based around him to honor his devotion to BMX and his family, “Dave Mirra’s BMX Park Best Trick”.
