Bmx Research Paper
Sports are massive in the entertainment industry, many people across the world enjoy watching them and there are all kinds of sports. My personal favorite sport to do and to watch is BMX. The usual time people can watch BMX is during the Summer X-Games, an intense sporting event focused around the less popular sports including: skateboarding, bike riding, rally racing, and during the Winter X-Games, snowboarding. Something that really got me into BMX, was seeing Dave Mirra land the very first double backflip on a BMX bike. This was even done at the X-Games, during the event, BMX best trick.
Dave Mirra was one of the biggest influences in BMX, he performed stunts many strive to learn today. He holds the record for the most gold medals in a single sport, and is one of my biggest inspirations in BMX. Disappointingly he took his own life a short time ago, on February 4, 2016. That year the Summer X-Games held an event based around him to honor his devotion to BMX and his family, “Dave Mirra’s BMX Park Best Trick”. This was an event to showcase the best combination of a trick some of the most talented riders could muster up, one person even landed a double backflip in honor of Dave. Not only did they name the event after him, but

Though Adam is a professional and sponsored BMX rider, He has yet to compete in the X-Games. He, on the other hand, makes YouTube videos about his daily life and his hobbies. In his beginning years of YouTube, he created tutorials on BMX tricks. Many people enjoyed his riding videos and when he made his new YouTube channel, he based it on all of his BMX. His channel had become immensely popular with a diverse demographic of people. When I found him this led to me doing much more with BMX and starting my first YouTube channel. The two correspond very well together, especially if you have the correct

Lawnmower racing is a type of motor-sport where participants race modified riding lawnmowers. Basically, a lawnmower is a machine having a rotating blade for cutting grass; however, even though the original mower engines are maintained, the blades are removed for safety. Nearly all of the machines used in these races are older ones that racers remodel for racing. Lawn mower racing is founded firmly in the use of both standard mower engines and chassis. This competition attracts all ages.…

A lowrider is a car originated by Mexican-Americans in California. It was a part of the zoot-suit fashion that bloomed heavily through Los Angeles during the 1930s. Many lowriders have hydraulic suspension systems (modified suspension) so that their ride can change height at the flip of a switch. Lowriders are commonly classic cars from the 1950s (when lowriding began). However, large numbers of 1940s to 2000s model cars are also modified; to an uncommon degree newer vehicles are also modified. The word is also used to refer to those who drive or own such cars. A lowrider will traditionally have many factory-offered accessories or options and often many after-market accessories added.Contents [hide]…

600 years ago, roller coaster pioneers never would have imagined the advancements that have been made to create the roller coasters of today. The tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world is the Kingda Ka, a coaster in New Jersey that launches its passengers from zero to 128 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds (most sports cars take over four seconds to get to just 60 miles per hour). It then heaves its riders skyward at a 90-degree angle (straight up) until it reaches a height of 456 feet, over one and a half football fields, above the ground, before dropping another 418 feet (Coaster Grotto "Kingda Ka"). With that said, roller coasters are about more than just speed and height, they are…

My favorite activity is baseball. It gives me lots of exercises. Baseball gives you lots of strength and fitness. It is not like the cross country where you burn hundreds of calories but it is a good exercise you run a total of 360 feet all around the base which sounds easy but when it matters like if you win or lose it matters. The different positions do different things I am a pitcher and a catcher. A pitcher is the leader of the field because you need to throw strikes and rely on your defense they will get outs. A catcher is like a manager. He can see anything he tells people where to go and sees if there is a problem. I also can socialize with my friends and meet new ones. That is why I like baseball so…

There are multiple types of jumps in a dirt bike race. There are table tops, double , and step ups. If you just go right into jumping you can seriously hurt yourself. In the winter of sixth grade me and my family had gone on a ski trip at MT. Hood. So far everything was going great I was finally getting the hang of snowboarding because it was my first year. Snowboarding was a little scary but I was very scared of the ski lift I don't really know why but i was very scared to get off of it. Later that day i did not know that my fear of ski lifts was about to get a way lot worse. I was riding on the ski lift when all of the sudden I noticed my hair was stuck. The lift was almost finished by the time I had noticed which gave me no time to get it unstuck from the chair. The ride had come to a stop when the people operating the ride noticed I could not get off. But by the time they had noticed it was too late…

The team sport that interests me a lot is track and field because when I was a little girl I joined the sport, and became a great runner. Track and Field are very competitive, but to me, it is a fun sport to act like a horse. The reason I say that is because when I was younger, I would always watch horses, and I would say, “ Only if I was a horse one day.” So I feel like a horse racing to the finish line, and winning so I could be known as the “ greatest runner.” When I see myself at as a horse I feel, so free running in the wind. Track and Field give me a really awesome feeling when I start to run because running feels like real you are able to do anything.…
