All the known nations except only savage nation are built by books. It’s an utter illiteracy to declare the biggest literary sources as impractical.
Who says books make us impractical? Ladies and gentlemen who says?
Books give us a better understanding of life. They give us a better understanding of our own selves. The brave tales of Anne Frank or George Washington Carver or Clara Barton or Helen Keller touched the souls of millions out there. Helen Keller's literary work shows the acceptance towards life with all its pain and sufferings. Nelson Mandela’s "a long walk to freedom" gives us the courage to look ahead, to fight for a cause, to never give up.
Quran - verbatim word of Allah, does it make us impractical by any means? The symbol of all books , the sea of practices , the ocean of experiences ,the finest piece of literature in Arabic language, a book for divine guidance, direction to humanity. Ladies and gentlemen books have transformed millions of lives and they are still doing. Inspirational stories truly change people’s outlook towards life.
I ask you Ladies and gentlemen I ask you aren’t books the source of differentiation between a literate and an illiterate? In the holy Quran Allah very clearly asks, “Are those who know equal those who know not?”
