Bottled Water is causing damage to the Environment. Along with all the bottles that end up in landfills or the bottles that get burned (sending tons of pollution into the air), the gasoline and other fossil fuels that it requires making all of the bottles is both a waste of fossil fuels and damages the environment.
Home Water Filters can save the environment and keep some more green in your pocket. Bottled water on average costs 5000 times more for the United States as a country as apposed to everyone buying a home water filter (ecosyndistributors.com).

26 billion bottles were sent to landfills or incinerated. In landfills, they take 400
to 1000 years to biodegrade. During incineration, toxic chlorine gas and ash containing heavy metals are produced.
16.5 billion gallons of water were wasted - two gallons for every one gallon sold.
17 million barrels of crude oil were used in the production process - that's enough oil to fuel one million cars a year. And this figure does not include fuel used in transportation or to generate power for storage.
2.5 million tons of CO2 were discharged during production - again, this does not account for transportation or storage.

Gasoline is working wonders on the world….but not in a good way. High gas prices make everything more expensive, and on top of all that, it pollutes the earth. Eventually when the earth no longer has any fossil fuels left, people will have nowhere else to turn to except things like wind energy and hydroelectricity. If we don’t start developing alterative energies the world will have a catastrophe, the under developed alternative energy will not be able to run many things, planes, cars, houses, and even hospitals.
Alternative Energy Sources are under developed. If people were to buy home water filters and give the money to studies on finding other alternative energy sources we most likely wouldn’t be using gasoline to run everything.
